Sunday 3 December 2017.
The ultimate urban exploration fun ride.
The Tour de Melburn is a summery twist on the cobbled classic – Melburn Roobaix, a true velo-tour of Melburn’s great sights, heights and hidden delights.
#TourdeMelburn is inspired by the festive spirit of the big bike ride around France, but unlike Le Tour de France this one is not a race.
You’ll need to pair up to complete some of the tasks on the day because cycling is a team sport & two helmets are always better than one! The teams with the most time bonuses up their sleeves go into the final TIME-TRIAL to vie for eternal glory.
A Grand Prize will be raffled to any team that makes it to the finish by days end just for enjoying the day with us – whether they make it first or last, with a musette full of points or none. Fun is #1.
If you made it to the first one, you will know this an event unlike any other and the perfect way to discover the path less pedalled.
Veev La Tour!
With a map and a list of landmarks to find, Tour de Melburn is a fun ride around Melburn and its inner suburbs.
“Good Time bonuses” are collecting for finding city landmarks, large and small. How many you collect is up to you and will determine how far you pedal. Expect to be riding between 30km and up to 60km if you are really keen!
Those with the most bonuses will go into the final TIMED TRIAL to find the winners of the coveted Yellow, Green and Polka dot tees!
Tickets are for each rider and are LIMITED.
